Emergency Care Council: Cardiac First Response - Instructor
|The Cardiac First Responder Instructor
Training Course is conducted over two days. A pre requisite for entry
onto a CFR-Instructor course is that an individual has certified at
provider level within the last 12 months. The level of provider
certification (Community or Advanced) will dictate the level at which
they may apply for instructor training. You must next successfully
complete a CFR instructor course and three monitoring sessions to
become an Instructor. This

Following the two-day training, candidates must complete three CFR
courses ~ 1st as an Assistant Instructor, 2nd as Lead Instructor with
supervising Instructor present, 3rd as a sole Instructor being assessed. On of
successful completion, candidates qualify as an Instructor with PHECC. All
of these sessions are included in the Instructor course training we provide.

The three Monitoring Sessions required after the Instructional Methods is included
and can be done extremely quickly if required as we have several provider
courses running during both weekdays and weekends. Monitoring must be done
within 90 days of completing the Instructional Methods (IM) Course and can be done with
mentoring is also available if you feel you require more support before
teaching on your own and this is free of charge.

In the classroom, students participate in simulated teaching scenarios and
learning stations. Students work with an Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council Instructor to complete
skills practice.. Students also complete a multiple choice
The course requires 2 days to complete,
additionally you must attend three Cardiac First Response Courses after your
Cardiac First Response Instructor Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council Course is valid for two years.
Participants will receive a PHECC
provider course certificate and card.

As a CFR Instructor you have the following options for delivering your own training:
- Join an existing Recognised Institution as a member of their faculty
- Apply to PHECC for recognition of institution and seek course approval
Booking For Groups/Companies:

All we need is a room suitable for the group size. This course is also
available for bookings on weekends. This course can also be run for your group at our training centre in Terenure, Dublin. This course can be tailored for your group/company own needs.
